Breaking News: Shubman Gill has surpassed Babar Azam to become the new number 1 ranked batsman in the world, The right-handed batsman is the only fourth Indian players to reach the number 1 position in the ICC Men's ODI rankings.

The 24-year-old right-hander has contributed scores off 92 runs against Sri Lanka in Mumbai, and 23 against South Africa in Kolkata, and amassed 219 runs from six innings at the tournament. Shubman Gill missed India's first two World Cup matches against Australia and Afghanistan after being infected with dengue.
