Angelo Mathews become the first cricketer in 148 years of cricketing history got out Timed out without playing a ball

Sri Lanka former captain and all-rounder Angelo Mathews is the first player in 148 years of cricketing history got out Timed out without playing ball in the World Cup 2023 Sri Lanka's  match against Bangladesh on Monday, November 06, at the Arun Jaitely Stadium in Dehli.

Angelo Mathews walk out to on Monday, during Sri Lanka's World Cup match against Bangladesh. the strap of his helmet seemingly broken. while he waited to replaced the helmet. After Bangladesh captain Shakib al Hasan appealed to the third umpire's for the timed out dismissal against Angelo Mathews and his given out by the fourth umpires.

After the match Angelo Mathews said in Press Conferees:  "It was disgraceful from Shakib al Hasan and Bangladesh, If they want to play cricket like that, there is something wrong drastically, just disgraceful. Up to today i had a lot of respect for Shakib, but he loss all, We have video evidence, we'll put it out later".

Shakib Al Hasan said on Angelo Mathews dismissal: "The umpire asked me whether, I appeal or not. I told him that if it's out then i want it. I don't know whether it's right or wrong, If it is within the law, then we'll take it".

Angelo Mathews Submitted a Proof to ICC: He wrote on Twitter X: "4th umpire is wrong here! Video evidence shows I still had 5 more seconds even after the helmet gave away! Can the 4th umpire rectify this please? I mean safety is paramount as I just couldn’t face the bowler without a helmet".
"Proof! From the time catch was taken and the time helmet strap coming off". he added.
