NZ Batting First: The start of the Kiwi team was not good. Mohammed Siraj made the first breakthrough for India after he dismissed Devon Conway for a duck in the 3.3 overs. and kiwi scores (NZ 9-1). Shami is a stunning comeback to the ODI World Cup 2023. he strike Will Young for 17 runs (NZ 19-2). and the Kiwi batsmen scored 34 runs and India picked up two wickets in the first powerplay.

However, Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell made a solid 150 plus runs partnership for 3rd wickets. Shami dismissed Rachin Ravindra in the 33.3 overs for 75 runs and broke the partnership (NZ 178-3). In the second powerplay, the New Zealand scored 185 runs. and the Indian bowers picked up two wickets. However, Mohammed Shami strike two wickets in two balls and take by Mitchell Santner and Matt Henry wickets in the 47.4 and 47.5 overs (NZ 260-8). Shami picked up the most important gate in the first inning after he dismissed Mitchell in the49.5 overs for 130 runs( NZ 273- 9) 

In the third powerplay, Indian bowling attack was on fire with the ball and gets up six wickets. While the Kiwis scored 54 runs. for India Mohammed Shami took a five-wicket haul in his 10-over quota against kiwis. While Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets. & Bumrah and Siraj 1-1 wickets.

India Batting in the Run Chase: The chase of 274 runs, India was off to a flying start as skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill were dealing in fours and sixes. India reached the 50-run mark in 7.4 overs, with the help of a crisp boundary by Shubman Gill on a delivery by Matt Henry.
The 71-run opening stand came to an end as Lockie Ferguson castled Rohit Sharma for 46 in 40 balls, with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes. India was 71/1 in 11.1 overs. Shubman Gill was the next one to be dismissed by Ferguson as he was caught by Daryl Mitchell ffor 26 off 31 balls, with five fours. India was 76/2 in 13.2 overs. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer got some runs but when visibility declined, a short break was imposed.
On resumption, Shreyas Iyer dismissed by Boult as he was caught by Devon Conway for 33 off 29 balls, with 6 fours. India was 128/3 in 21.3 overs. Mitchell Santner praised wickets for KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav got run-out. India was delicately placed at 191 for five but Virat Kohli struck 95 off 105 balls and shared 78 runs with Ravindra Jadeja (39 not out) and India chase down the 274-run target in 48 overs.
