Afghanistan beaten Pakistan by 8 wicket's as Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah scored half-humbling Pakistan in what a moment for Afghanistan cricket as they registered their first ODI win over Pakistan.

Afghanistan now has two wins in five games after beating defending champions England in New Delhi and now Pakistan in Chennai. With the two-win they are now sixth spot in the points table.

PAK BATTING FIRST: Pakistan scored 282/7. Captain Babar Azam top-scored with 74 off 92 balls, while opener Abdullah Shafique contributed 58 off 75 balls. Shadab Khan's (40 off 38 balls) and Iftikhar Ahmed (40 off 27 balls) each down the order to take the score past 280. For Afghanistan Noor Ahmad was the best bowling figures of 3/49 while Naveen-ul-Haq chipped in with 2/52.

Afghanistan in the run chase: Afghanistan openers started with the massive 130-run opening stands between Rahmanullah Gurbaz (65 off 53) and Ibrahim Zadran (87 off 113). Rahmat Shah (77* in the 45 balls) then took over and played a superb knock alongside skipper Shahidi (48* in the 45 balls). With the win, Afghan teams have now moved up to the fifth placed on the table.
